SA Members Evening ft. Will Taylor SF FIN, Finlaysons

FINSIA invites you to join us for the SA Members Evening 2025 - an evening of networking, professional insights, and connection with peers across the financial services community.

This year, we are honoured to welcome Will Taylor SF FIN, Chair of Partners at Finlaysons, as our keynote speaker.

Will brings over three decades of experience advising clients across financial services and the wine industry - two sectors vital to South Australia’s economic identity. He leads Finlaysons’ Wine Group, which he founded in the early 1990s, establishing the firm as the leading legal advisor to the Australian wine sector. Will has acted for major global beverage companies, SMEs, family-owned wine businesses, and regional wine industry bodies across every leading viticultural region in Australia. His insights will explore the challenges and opportunities facing SA local industry as it continues to adapt to global and local shifts.

Dr Christine Yates SF FIN from the FINSIA Board, will also be in attendance to represent FINSIA as part of the upcoming CISI alliance.

Will Taylor SF FIN

Chair of Partners, Finlaysons

Will Taylor is the head of Finlaysons renowned Wine Group, which he constituted in the early 1990’s. He has been instrumental in establishing Finlaysons as Australia’s leading law firm in the Australian wine sector. His vast experience and personal involvement in the sector have led to him being a trusted and respected advisor.

Will is a vigneron himself, having operated Will Taylor Wines with his wife for well over 20 years. He is also on the board of an independent leading Australian wine business. He therefore has a deep understanding of the issues confronting wine businesses, having experienced such issues on personal account.

Will and the Finlaysons Wine Group provide a full commercial legal service to a wine business of any nature or size. They include amongst their clients some of the largest beverage alcohol companies in the world, through to a wide selection of SME’s and a whole mass of small family wine businesses. They act for a number of foreign clients, as well as wineries all over Australia.
