FINSIA provides plenty of opportunities for you to get involved and make the most of your membership.
You may be in the early stages of your career and want to share the opportunities you’ve had and the challenges you faced in getting your first job in the industry. You may be a highly-skilled practitioner in a specialist area and want to get involved by speaking at an event or mentoring someone. Or maybe you are a professional or financial services leader who wants to strengthen their networks by joining one of FINSIA’s committees.
FINSIA hosts many events, we partner with industry, regulators and universities, our publications are highly regarded and we champion important industry issues — there are many ways for you to get involved and extend your skills.
Mentoring
The Career Builder program is designed for young finance professionals with a minimum of two years' experience. The program offers the opportunity for career acceleration by connecting mentees with senior finance leaders. Here you will provide one-on-one support to clarify career plans, aspirations and to discuss specific challenges mentees may be experiencing.
Councils & Committees
FINSIA committees are highly regarded and represent FINSIA and its members on a range of issues from diversity and inclusiveness, professional development, policy and advocacy, to strengthening member involvement.
Awards & Scholarships
Winning a FINSIA scholarship can help you to build your knowledge and reach your leadership potential. We award scholarships throughout the year to recognise our best and brightest members.
Publications
Publishing or contributing to our FINSIA publications is a fantastic way to build your profile with an influential audience of finance professionals.
Thought Leadership
FINSIA plays a unique role in bringing together industry practitioners, professional associations, government and academia to collaborate and advocate on major challenges facing the industry. This creates opportunities for you to contribute your industry expertise and experience to research projects, submissions or roundtable discussions.
Contributing to research and policy also allows you to build your profile and your firm’s reputation as a thought leader.

Events like these connect members with decision-makers and influencers, policy makers and regulators. You can contribute, as a guest speaker, panellist or event moderator.
In addition to the above, members also get to enjoy the following exclusive features as part of their member portal.
