Starting your career in finance is exciting … and challenging.

FINSIA's Young Finance Professional (YFP) committees are a group of members who work together to identify areas that will support the professional and personal development of tomorrow's finance industry leaders. YFP committees arrange events of special interest to those members who are 35 years of age and under.

FINSIA has YFP committees in each region, so you have access to exclusive events and a community of young finance professionals to connect with.

YFPA Events

We have events especially catered to young finance professionals.

Current and Future Leaders — YFP’s signature event — connects you with prominent industry leaders for an evening of speed mentoring.

Specialist, Treasury Management Advisory, QLD Treasury Corporation

Membership of the YFP Committee has helped me develop communication and leadership skills while keeping me in touch with other ambitious and hard-working young professionals in the industry. Volunteering work helps me to better organise my time and the social benefits of being a member of an organisation such as FINSIA are well worth the effort.

I’ve met so many incredibly talented people that are so willing to help give everyone a step up in their career and make the most of all available opportunities. It’s also given me a really great insight into the industry as a whole and expanded my knowledge and relationship base which has been a paramount benefit in my own role. It’s been the perfect complement to my rising career!
