- Distinguishing myth from reality about how a modern private equity firm increases revenue and profit through growth, expansion and strategic operational improvements.
Attend our full calendar of in-person and virtual events and webinars
As well as our catalogue of on-demand learning opportunities, FINSIA has a full calendar of in-person and virtual events to keep you informed and up to date about everything going on in – and affecting – the financial services sector.
In 2023, we held 32 webinars and 33 face-to-face events across Australia and New Zealand. We also relaunched our regular roundtable sessions, designed to help members dive deep into trending topics and connect with industry experts.
Our diverse webinar program continues to be incredibly popular with members, attracting an average attendance of at least 300 members online each session.
We’re constantly updating the webinar and events calendar, so please look here for the latest opportunities.
Creating new opportunities to help you build meaningful connections is an important feature of your membership, and our in-person events provide just that. In addition to the educational sessions we organise, later this year we’ll also bring back FINSIA’s much-loved end-of-year cocktail networking functions with events planned in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland. Stay tuned for further details and your invitations coming soon.
We’re working hard to expand our partnerships to deliver more value for members in regional locations, New Zealand and further afield. We’d love to hear from you if you’d like to assist us in developing events in your local area.
Use your FINSIA post-nominals for added credibility and trust
Post-nominals are an incredibly important way of demonstrating your professionalism, knowledge and standing within the profession – reinforcing your expertise and experience as a senior financial services professional, and earning immediate credibility with clients, too. They also provide reassurance that you’re bound by a strong code of conduct and will behave ethically and responsibly.
Associate members of FINSIA can use the A FIN post-nominal, while Senior Associate members are SA FIN. FINSIA Fellow members can add F FIN after their name, while Senior Fellows have the SF FIN post-nominal.
Be mentored – or be a mentor
Having someone to offer advice, support and guidance is crucial as you navigate your way through your career. And, if you’ve already clocked up a few years, giving back to the professional community is an incredibly rewarding experience.
FINSIA’s mentoring program pairs together the perfect mentors and mentees, providing six months of guidance for mentees.
Having an independent mentor is an extremely valuable tool for professionals who are developing their careers, and as a FINSIA member, you have complimentary access to our mentoring program.
Access our regular news updates and resources
To complement our stream of educational content, we also produce and publish regular website articles, newsletters and other resources to help inform, shape and guide you through the everyday. By understanding the issues that are affecting you, we can create content that genuinely matters, and can be an invaluable resource. FINSIA members are often invited to contribute their views to our content, helping to build your own personal brand online.
