Fund managers have a range of responsibilities to support Australia’s economic recovery.
These include efficiently allocating capital, supporting sustainable investment opportunities including investment grade infrastructure development and assisting in the development of a deep corporate bond market.
That’s the perspective of two of the members of the Financial Services Council’s (FSC’s) new Fund Management Board Committee (FMBC), which is tasked with driving the Australian funds management sector’s strategic policy direction.
The committee’s inaugural members are Andrew Landman from BlackRock Asset Management Australia, Bryce Doherty from UBS Asset Management (Australia), Jen Driscoll from AllianceBernstein Australia and Liz Hastilow of First Sentier Investors.
