CEO and Managing Director Yasser El-Ansary F FIN has outlined important and exciting news about the work underway to deliver a stronger value proposition for members across Australia and New Zealand in his latest strategy update.
He said: “In recent weeks we have launched our first package of 14 microlearning courses .
“These short, flexible, online courses - that can be completed in as little as 45 minutes and cost from just $75 - are an essential part of our new FINSIA strategy to deliver more relevant and diverse knowledge programs across all corners of the financial services sector.
“In the period ahead, we will roll-out further microlearning courses covering a wide range of topic areas in both the technical and non-technical arena.
“This first package includes courses such as: Anti Money Laundering Essentials, Understanding Ratio Analysis, and dealing with Customers Experiencing Vulnerability, among others.”

Yasser’s update goes on: “We partnered with some of Australia’s leading cyber security experts to create a unique high-value workshop aimed at equipping leaders with a deeper understanding of cyber security principles and strategies.
“In the past few days we have also rolled-out our updated and highly popular Mentoring Program for FINSIA members.
“We know how valuable initiatives such as the mentoring program can be – for both mentees as well as mentors – and we’re really pleased to see a large number of mentors and mentees already come forward and nominate to participate in this first cohort under the program. It’s not too late to get involved, register your interest with us here.
“Right now we’re working on the development of a comprehensive new knowledge and event program for our members in New Zealand, and we’re kicking-off discussions with our Young Finance Professional Committees to ensure we identify and deliver more relevant support for those starting their career in the industry.
“In my next strategy update, I’ll share with you more details about those initiatives, and also let you know about changes we are working on in relation to our CPD Policy for FINSIA members.
“It's a busy time for the FINSIA team as we work hard to deliver on a broad range of initiatives under our new strategy.
“We’re excited about the progress we are making, and we hope you can see the first steps of our transformation now taking shape. Stay tuned for more updates in the next few weeks.
