FINSIA CEO and Managing Director Yasser El-Ansary F FIN has thanked outgoing Chair Lisa Lintern who has stepped down from the role.
He also welcomed Natalie Yan-Chatonsky, who is stepping into the role as Chair.
“Lisa Lintern has been our fearless leader of the DAC for some time now and over recent days she has made the difficult decision to step down,” said Yasser.
“During 2022 Lisa commenced in a senior executive role with Chartered Accountants ANZ and she shared with Natalie Yan-Chatonsky and me that the demands of that new role are such that her time capacity to be involved in a range of things outside of it are quite limited moving forward.
“Of course, both Natalie and I completely understand the difficult balancing act that Lisa has been trying to navigate for the past few months and while we are sad to lose Lisa from our group, we are confident that we will have an opportunity to continue to benefit from Lisa’s expertise, advice and support when we need it.
“I’d like to thank Lisa for the important and enduring contribution she made in amplifying the communications around the last Gender Divide Survey and her positive pragmatic approach to championing DEI within the financial services sector.
“In addition to the financial news media coverage that she was able to get to raise awareness of the survey findings, she also did a great podcast with Linda Maniaci – it’s worth a listen if you haven’t already tuned in.
“Natalie’s appointment to the role comes at a great time for FINSIA because of the extensive program of work we are engaged in now to advance our value proposition to members and to create a stronger organisation and financial services profession for the future.
“It’s also timely for Nat, given her new book – ‘The Art of Full Time Living’ for women going through midlife transition (https://fulltimelives.com/art-of-full-time-living)
“Congratulations to Nat on that. It’s an amazing achievement.”
Natalie said: “I’m so pleased to be standing on the shoulders of my predecessors Victoria Weekes who founded DAC, Linda Maniaci and Lisa Lintern to take Diversity Inclusion Equity across consumer and institutional financial services to the next level to make society a richer place for everyone to work, live and play in meaningful ways that leverage all they have to offer the world.
