Ubah Gabris
Ubah is an accomplished professional with a remarkable career spanning over 25 years in the corporate world, with last 10 years focus on Coaching Banking Executives and Coaching Diversity and Inclusion in Banking and other Corporate Spaces.
Ubah, an executive coach and Diversity and Inclusion Mentor, brings a profound dedication to learning and a robust growth mindset to her practice. With an unwavering commitment to helping individuals achieve their utmost potential, Ubah has successfully coached numerous leaders across both private and public sectors. Her exceptional coaching skills have contributed to the success of esteemed award recipients such as the Australian of the Year and OAM. Witnessing individuals surpass their own expectations brings Ubah immense joy and fulfillment. What distinguishes Ubah is her innate ability to forge genuine connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Born in Somalia and raised in an Australian family that deeply values cultural, religious, and ethnic diversity, Ubah offers a unique perspective in her work with diverse populations. This perspective is enriched by her active involvement in community leadership roles as a Rotarian at Club, District, and Regional levels. Her initiatives include projects focusing on youth, domestic and family violence prevention, and diversity and inclusion mentoring. In addition, Ubah plays a big role in her workplace and is part of Westpac's Women of Westpac EAG and a national deputy chair for Westpac RESPECT (Domestic & Family Violence Prevention) EAG. Ubah also serves as a Deputy Director for Australian Professional of Colour (APOC), advocating inclusivity and fostering a supportive environment for individuals from all backgrounds.
Additionally, she has contributed to the NSW Women’s Reference Group for the Department of Home Affairs over the past two years. Outside her professional and community commitments, Ubah treasures moments spent with loved ones, enjoys exploring diverse cuisines and cultures with her husband, and stays active outdoors. Her family life is further enriched by her beloved toy Cavoodle dog, Crispin.

Natalie Yan-Chatonsky is an Asian Australian creating positive social change for midlife and older women. She’s the founder and CEO of Full Time Lives and deputy chair of FINSIA’s Diversity Advisory Committee.
She collaborates with organisations that care about empowering women to choose how they work, live and play so that everyone has the opportunity to lead a healthy, meaningful and connected life. She’s the author of ’The Art of Full Time Living: Design a Meaningful and Connected Life’.
