Banking three ways: what lurks in the shadows
Whilst we would be familiar with traditional banking, most practitioners might be surprised to learn that in fact there are two additional types of banking that exist in Australia, shadow and underground. These forms of banking are less regulated than traditional banking and often are cited as the potential cause of the next financial crisis or of facilitating money-laundering and other misdeeds.
Join us for a webinar with Mark Thomas. He’ll shed a light on the shadows and explains what these forms of banking are, their roles and the functions they play. This webinar also will discuss the concerns and what protections Australia has in place against the misuse of these other forms of banking.
