Case Studies in Impact Investing - what best practice looks like

Lisa Fedorenko

Head of Impact Investment, Save the Children Global Ventures

Lisa serves as Head of Impact Investing, leading investments in innovative projects and companies driving transformative change for children across APAC.

Prior to her work with SCGV, Lisa led the$16M Alberts Impact Venture fund backing 23 impact-driven portfolio companies working on environmental sustainability, mental health, a vibrant culture and gender equality. She pioneered investing for structurally reducing inequality as an impact thematic and led deep dives into both gender equality and mental health.

Lisa is well recognised for her strong track record in the Australian Venture Capital community and in 2023 made the Fortune Change Makers list for her role in co-founding Equity Clear (a new standard for reporting founder diversity now committed to by over 60 funds in Australia). Earlier in her career, she worked at Credit Suisse helping IPO businesses such as Alibaba, Healthscope and Wisetech before moving into listed equities where she helped run the over $1b Montgomery fund.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney, with majors in Advanced Mathematics, Computer Science and Econometrics.

Alon Greenspan

CEO and Partner, Mind Ventures

Alon is the managing partner of Mind Ventures, a mental health venture fund. Alon invests in all evidence based verticals across mental health to solve the biggest problems in mental health. Prior to Mind Ventures, Alon spent over a decade in tech M&A and venture capital. He was previously a partner at Jelix Ventures where invested in and worked with 40+ portfolio companies. Prior to Jelix, he gained extensive global tech M&A experience working for Herzog and Arnold Bloch Leibler. He's an active angel investor and holds degrees in Commerce and Law.
