Harvey Kalman

Harvey is a Strategic Advisor to the MSC Group. Harvey is a chairman, board member and senior executive with over 30 years in financial services, having provided leadership and strategic advisory across business growth, risk management, funds management, service provision, operations and innovation.

Over 20 years working at board-level as a Chairman, Board and/or Committee Member across the funds management, trustee services, fintech, healthcare, education and government regulatory compliance sectors for ASX-listed, privately owned, not-for-profit and government organisations.

Harvey, commence and grew the largest independent trustee / responsible entity business in Australia (Corporate Trustee Services) at Equity Trustees over 21 years growing the business from 0.7b in Jan 2000 to over $100b FUM in June 2021 and expanded them globally.

Current positions include Chairman of Connexian, PAC Capital, Clearwater Portfolio Management and Arbitrium Capital Partners, and Board/Committee Member for Heart Foundation, Deakin University and the Menzies Foundation. Previous board appointments include Raiz Invest, MSC Trustees, Bialik College Investment Committee and Victorian Legal Services and executive positions at Equity Trustees, KPMG, ANZ and Ford Credit.

Jenny Taing OAM

Special Counsel, Hive Legal

Jenny Taing OAM is Special Counsel at Hive Legal where she advises in financial services law. She previously worked at Vanguard in product strategy where she was Head of Product Implementation and led the build and launch of Vanguard’s new funds and ETF products in Australia. Prior to this role, Jenny was in- house counsel at Vanguard and spent 10 years as a lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission.

Jenny is an experienced board director and currently sits on the board of VicScreen, AFL Victoria, is Deputy Chair of the Western Bulldogs Football Club Community Foundation and a member of the Western Bulldogs Ethics & Integrity Committee. She is a former board director of Screen Australia, the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra), The Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Channel 31, Vice President of the University of Melbourne Alumni Council and a former Commissioner of the Victorian Multicultural Commission.

Jenny has a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne. In 2016, she was awarded by Finsia the Hugh DT Williamson Scholarship which allowed her to attend executive education at Harvard Business School. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees.
