However, there are many ethical considerations to take into account, and it is essential financial services professionals understand these – as well as the potential benefits and risks AI presents – when implementing AI.

What you will learn

After completing this self-paced, online short course, which has been developed by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and offered in partnership with FINSIA, you will have a thorough understanding of:

  • The foundations of AI.

  • Ethical AI and professional codes of conduct.

  • Risk management in AI.

  • Strategic approaches to AI.

  • Tactical development of AI (for Executive Management).

Course Structure

Delivered: Online, enrolment for 12 months.

Time requirements: 12 hours (10 hours of course material, plus two hours of additional learning post-exam*).

Course prerequisites: None.

Assessment: Each module has an online exam (pass mark of 75%).

Outcome: A digital certificate will be issued through Credly upon successful completion of the course.

*Included in the online course is FINSIA’s Ethics of Artificial Intelligence microlearning course, which satisfies 1 hour, plus news articles and a case study to satisfy the final hour.
